My Family, Part 7 - Daddy

This is me and my favorite human of all time.  I love him more than walks in the park, even though the margin is very very small.

Life is good when I'm curled up on Daddy's lap.  I'll do it while he's on the computer, when he's in his chair, when he's in bed.  I know beyond all doubt that with Daddy around everything is going to be AOK.  He protects me and loves me like no other.

We're buddies.  We love to play.  Our favorite game to play is for him to crouch down like he's going to come after me, and me running circles around him.  We did this at the park today in fact.  Only when I took off running it was right through a huge puddle of water.

Mud and grass and water and pug fur was flying everywhere as I made tracks again and again, doing my donuts around Mom and Dad.

They laughed, which made me happy.  I just love to bring them joy.

I think I'm doing a pretty good job.

My Family, Part 6 - Mommy

This is my Mommy.  She cuddles me, sings with me, and if it weren't for her I'd never get to the P-A-R-K, because she's working hard to lose weight.  That makes no never mind to me, I love her just as she is.  She's a nice padded pillow to cuddle.

Lately I've taken to jumping on her while she's at her desk writing.  I cuddle up on her shoulder, with my chin resting on the back of her chair.  I know it drives her crazy, but she generally gives me a few moments of cuddle time before she guides me back down to the floor.

Sometimes Romeow, who likes to sit on the back of her chair whether she's there or not, will hop up and I'll play with him - and if he jumps down I launch from her shoulder to chase after him.

I'll utilize her padding while I still have it.

The upside of losing all that cushion is that she'll take me for walks more often.

Which is basically what I like best about Mommy anyhow.

My Family, Part 5 - Timothy

Here I am playing Yu Gi Oh with the oldest child of the house.  Mommy says the oldest child is Daddy sometimes, I don't know what that means.

Anyway, Timothy LOVES to play his Yu Gi Oh.  He always spreads these cards out to practice and then the minute Daddy comes home he always wants to play a game.

Timothy and Daddy didn't always have an easy time of it, considering my Daddy is his Step Daddy.  Things were tough before my Uncle Dan (Timothy's biological dad) died, but got worse afterwards.  For everybody.  Even me.

But now Daddy and Timothy are working together to build their relationship.  Timothy even wants to make sure we cook Daddy a helping of dinner so he has something to eat when he gets home from work.

I guess I don't mind sharing my Daddy with my brothers.  As long as the utlimate cuddle time goes to me.  And Mommy.

But mostly me.

My Family, Part 4 - Jeremiah

This is my big brother Jeremiah.  Aren't we a cute pair?  He looks most like Mommy so he has our same pug noses, I think we almost look like twins.  He's pretty cute.  For a human.

He takes me for walks and sings with me.  Did I tell you I like to sing?  I love to sing.  They should call me Pugney Spears or Elvis Pugsley.  My mommy and Jeremiah, even Grandma can hit those high pitched notes that have me rearing my head back and belting out a tune as quick as you please.

Maybe I should go on American Idol.  And if Simon dare say anything at all to me, I'll just bite him on the bum.

My Family, Part 3 - Sparks

That is my brother Sparks.  He's the old man of the house.  He's 9 years old and as grumpy as you'd expect a guy to be in his "golden years".

We have an understanding.  If I bug him, I get clawed.  That's the understanding.

Daddy says Sparks used to fetch, but he doesn't do that trick anymore.  I don't know why, I try my best to help him by going and getting whatever Daddy throws so he doesn't have to run.

He is old, you know.

This concludes the four legged section of my family.  Tomorrow I'll start talking about my two legged brothers, who terrorize me as much as I terrorize them.

My Family, Part 2 - Cricket

This is my sister, Cricket.  She's the only other female in the house next to Mommy, even though I'm trying my level best to convince Mom and Dad to get me a bride.  I know that they have mail order Pugs, I just know they do.

Anyway, Cricket and I get along okay I guess.  She's Mommy's baby who has to sleep with Mommy, and I have to sleep with Daddy - so we made an agreement to share the bed.  There are times I can get close to her, and there are times she won't let me anywhere near her.  She won't let anyone near her.

Daddy says when Mommy gets like that it's PMS.  I guess Cricket has PMS all month long.

I try to play with her, especially when she's playing with my buddy Romeow.  She makes all this noise like she's going to tear the walls down, so I chase her away from Romeow to try and cheer her up.

It usually doesn't work.

Anyway, Mommy promised me yesterday we would go for a walk "tomorrow", and since I know darn well it's "tomorrow" I'm going to Pug her senseless till we go.  I have places to go and trees to pee!

My Family, Part 1 - Romeow

I thought I'd share my journal space to tell you about my family and how they all feel about me.

This is Romeow.  He's a new member of our family, Daddy brought him home in January.  Though he looks like a cat, I think he's a dog in disguise because he's never hissed at me or swatted at me or growled at me.  Instead we wrestle and play and have the best ol time.  He's truly my best four legged friend.

We have fun chasing each other back and forth across the house, and he never gets scared.  He never gets mad either.  Which is what makes him so fun to play with.

And I know he loves me.  He rubs up on me constantly, Mommy says he's "marking" me.  She doesn't seem to mind, but she won't let me pee on him.  Parents!

He also grooms me, which I like.  Only you can't tell anyone or else I may lose my Canine Membership card.

But Romeow is my buddy, and I'm glad he's part of my family.
